About Lauren Gavin

Lauren is a passionate and empathetic therapist who specializes in working with children and their families. She works to create a safe and comfortable environment to help children give voice to areas where they may be struggling. 

Lauren is a registered play therapist (RPT) who uses child centered play in her work with children to help them express and navigate the demands of their environment to gain a better sense of stability, safety, happiness, and overall wellbeing. Lauren incorporates play therapy, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy in her practice with children and families. 

Lauren works with issues related to childhood adjustment, trauma, grief & loss, divorce, adoption, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and anger. Lauren has previous experience working in early childhood education, children’s day treatment, school-based therapy, outpatient therapy with kids and families, and a hospital setting.
